WELCOME TO HORSESHOE LAKE CAMP
Where Serenity Meets Eternity
A CHRIST-CENTERED CAMP AND RETREAT
DESTINATION IN CLEVELAND, TEXAS.
A PLACE TO GET AWAY.
A PLACE TO GROW CLOSER.
Horseshoe Lake Camp is a Christian nonprofit ministry created to support the local Church in reaching the next generation for Christ.
Rooted in the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18–20, our mission is to provide a place where children, students, families, and church groups can step away from the distractions of everyday life, grow in their faith, and build meaningful relationships in a Christ-focused community. Our desire is that they leave encouraged, strengthened, and equipped to go and make disciples.
BUILT TO SERVE THE CHURCH
Horseshoe Lake Camp began through the shared vision of two families who felt called to create a place where children, students, families, and churches could experience the love of Jesus through camp ministry.
In 2023, that vision took a significant step forward through an extraordinary act of generosity. With a deep heart for ministry and a desire to invest in the next generation, a family quietly provided the land that would become the home of Horseshoe Lake Camp. Their servant-hearted generosity helped make possible a place designed to support the local Church, share the Gospel, and create lasting opportunities for ministry.
With that foundation, along with years of ministry experience and a shared commitment to serving others, Horseshoe Lake Camp began to take shape in Cleveland, Texas.

Meet the Santana Family
Horseshoe Lake Camp is a family-operated ministry, and the Santana family is grateful to call the camp home. Living on-site allows them to be closely involved in the day-to-day operation of HLC and in caring for the groups they serve.
Omar and Veronica have been happily married for 18 years and are the proud parents of four children. Together, their family shares a heart for hospitality, ministry, and service. Whether welcoming guests, supporting camp operations, assisting with programming, or working behind the scenes, their desire is to help create an environment where every guest feels at home and has the opportunity to grow closer to Christ.
Together, Omar and Veronica bring more than two decades of combined ministry experience. Omar serves as Camp Director, while Veronica serves as Assistant Camp Director and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. Before leading Horseshoe Lake Camp, Omar served as Youth and Family Pastor at Grace Family Church of Spring. Today, the Santanas are members of Second Baptist Church, where they continue to serve in children’s ministry.
UPDATES & EVENTS
October 2026
We are incredibly grateful for all that God has done at Horseshoe Lake Camp.
After much prayer, planning, construction, countless hours of work, and the completion of our licensing process, Horseshoe Lake Camp is officially licensed and ready to welcome groups!
We are thankful for the amazing groups and friends who have prayed and generously given their time and talents along the way. You have been a tremendous blessing to our ministry and an important part of bringing HLC to life.
March 2026 – Big Progress at Horseshoe Lake Camp!
We’re excited to share that our tandem zipline is now up, and it’s a huge milestone for us! Seeing this feature come together has been incredibly exciting, and it’s just one more sign that the vision for this camp is becoming a reality.
Construction is moving forward well, and completion is very near. Every week brings us closer to opening a place where young people, families, churches, and groups can come experience adventure, fellowship, and lasting memories in an unforgettable outdoor setting.
As we approach the finish line, we would love to welcome tours of the camp. If you’ve been following our progress, praying for the project, or considering Horseshoe Lake Camp for a future event or retreat, we would be honored to show you around.
Thank you to everyone who has supported, prayed for, and encouraged us along the way. We can’t wait to welcome you to Horseshoe Lake Camp!

PARTNER WITH US
We have been blessed with the funding that helped make the construction of Horseshoe Lake Camp possible, but your support will help us go even further — from camper scholarships to additional bunkhouses, future staff housing, and continued improvements throughout the camp.
Your gifts help provide opportunities for children and teens who may not otherwise be able to attend, maintain and expand our facilities, and continue developing meaningful, Christ-centered programming.
Every gift, large or small, helps us create a place where the next generation can grow in their faith, build lasting relationships, and experience the love of Christ.
